#4pminLagos x #EventWednesday Highlights and more from #OLIC2

When I was picking out something for Olamide's now-annual concert, OLIC 2, I knew I wanted something simple enough to have fun in but still red carpet friendly.
This blue Mango playsuit seemed perfect!
Outfit? check
Hair loose and funky?
Make up? Check!

Olamide set the bar high at 'Olamide in Concert' last year so I knew I would have fun and hoped OLIC 2 would be even better.  OLIC 2 held on Sunday 27th at Eko Hotel and that was one show i was really looking forward to.!

I got into my blue playsuit (which inspired a post about how to rock play and jumpsuits three ways) and pink shoes and got to Eko Hotel just a little after 10p.m- perfect timing. Olamide didn't get on until later but i was able to catch Adekunle Gold's performance. The screams when he began singing should confirm to Adekunle that he is indeed, one to watch next year. With three singles, he had us singing,  screaming and dancing along. Kudos on good use of the stage and audience engagement. My other favourites on the night include Reminisce (of course), Burna Boy and Falz the Bahd Guy.

Apart from artistes, we had some comedy courtesy Seyi Law, the hosts, Buchi and Basketmouth (and Toolz a little  later), and also the internet celebrity comedians like Chelsea Currency. It was amazing to see how well they were recognised based off their internet memes and skits only! Goes to show where entertainment is headed these days and how important social media is.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Olamide's performances, especially his costumes, the choreography,  and his hype man, Dotun. Big kudos to the team that thought and brought all that to the fore because we could have had one man and a dj but we really got a show.

My highlights
- The performances were really good on the average and everyone put some effort in. Be it what they wore, how they worked the stage or even a little magic (Que Peller).
- The experience. It just felt really good being at a sold out show in a packed hall. And incase you missed it, i caught a proposal that went right on in the hall via Tolu Odunsi's snapchat. Congrats to the happy  couple
- Being starstruck. I was just standing there randomly when Asisat Oshoala, the BBC Footballer of the Year walked by. I had to go find her and take a picture! It was a room full of stars though with various fields like media, music and movies well represented.

What i wanted
- So many artistes backstage had songs together, i wish we got them on the stage together. For example, Reminisce does one song, then Falz joins him for 'Clap', then Falz does his song etc.
- For it to never end...
