#PinkFootball I can't believe we have to say goodbye to Rooney!

Okay ladies, that time has come. The time to say hello, goodbye and either 'phew you are still here' or 'grrr you are still here???".

For me, this has been pretty okay with my only indignation coming earlier on when i heard Zlatan would leave United.. That made me sad because i feel his season at Manchester United showed him to be a leader.

Then i got hopeful when i thought Antoine Griezmann was coming over. He is so cute. And yes, that is why i wanted him to come. I love football for footballing reasons but please, i love football for beautiful people reasons. And Antoine is beautiful.

Anyhoo, it seemed the transfer season would go without my shedding tears but no such luck. Wayne Rooney, went back home.

It is weird for me to think of Rooney's home as anywhere other than Manchester United but before the laurels and the medals, Rooney was an Everton kid. And now he has gone back. The club and the fans are so happy, and on paper, it makes sense for all parties concerned. He gets a place where he can shine as he plays out his retirement, Manchester United lets go of a legend who may not have got any more playing time if he had stayed, and Everton gets a player of his calibre with all the prestige, respect and experience he brings

The only one losing is us the fans who love Rooney. I can't take seeing him in blue, and yet i am not mad at anyone. Just sad.

But bye bye Rooney, thanks for the memories, and much love and respect always.

When one door closes (or one player leaves), another opens (a new player comes in).

Hey Lukaku, what's good?!

#PinkFootball Cutest proposal pictures ever!

Former Manchester United player, Memphis Depay recently proposed to his fiancee, Lori Harvey. Lori is Steve Harvey and Marjorie's Harvey last child (although she is technically, Steve's step daughter). Don't you just love how idyllic and beautiful the spot he chose is?
It is so cute I. Cannot. Deal.

#PinkFootball Thank God for Ronaldo

So on Sunday, Manchester United played and Pogba scored. Even though l'usband has tried to explain to me over and over that since Pogba is NOT a striker he wasnt bought to score goals, but i think some of the banter does get to you and you start to wonder why your very expensive players can't get you back to top three.

Yes i am a Manchester United fan. I remember once crying so much when Manchester United lost a champions league game, and being so distraught that i could not even eat and i even had palpitations and i swore i was done with football and being a fan.
That did not last long. I have jerseys, i follow everyone on social media and sometimes during a game, i kneel in front of the television urging my players on.

So Pogba scored and Man U won,
The 6th position.

Like what the actual frag?!
I feel sorry for some players like Ibrahimovic and i'm always like De Gea 'pele'.

I do not know who we have offended but an unbeaten run full of draws, monumental losses to Chelsea and other clubs and just a general continued descent from glory has left me a sad fan.

Then of course Falcao has to win the Ligue 1 with Monaco and he must be feeling like, thank God i jumped ship sharp!
And my French team Olympique De Marseille has not completely returned to glory days yet so ladies and gentlemen... THANK GOD FOR RONALDO.

Because
1. i love that man
and 2. Real is my reserve club. I support Real in all games in Europe and Spain and i am so excited that yesterday, Ronaldo and Benzema sealed things for them.

Congratulations to Real Madrid and heyyyyy Ronaldo! Call me.

#PinkFootball My highlights from Man U .v. Liverpool

Let me start by conceding this truth- Benteke's goal was goal of the game.
But he's not a red devil so, moving on.

My first highlight is Daley Blind. Not just his goal nor his save but the sum of all. When a player scores, plays and even keeps, then he deserves Man of the Match.

Martial (not Marshall dear Nigerians) is of course, a big highlight. I mean, they buy you, the press slays you, you come in as a substitute to applause, then you dribble three grown men like #IzNoring and score a goal. On your frigging debut!

I love how he celebrated with the fans first then gave Young (who passed to him) a bear hug.

Erm, anyone else think he looks like dude from 'Everybody Hates Chris'?

And my final highlight is United's first goal which came from a free kick that had obviously been practised in training and created by Van Gaal. It involved a bit of deception, some blocking (Schweinsteiger) and then a blinding kick.

There you have it. My highlights from Man Utd .v. Liverpool.

What are yours?

P.s, thanks for staying De Gea

#SkincareSaturday Three things to do for your skin this weekend!

Ideally, we should pamper ourselves every day.  Unfortunately, with the hustle and bustle that is Lagos, we usually end up with at best, ...
