#4pminLagos x #EventWednesday Highlights and more from #OLIC2

When I was picking out something for Olamide's now-annual concert, OLIC 2, I knew I wanted something simple enough to have fun in but still red carpet friendly.
This blue Mango playsuit seemed perfect!
Outfit? check
Hair loose and funky?
Make up? Check!

Olamide set the bar high at 'Olamide in Concert' last year so I knew I would have fun and hoped OLIC 2 would be even better.  OLIC 2 held on Sunday 27th at Eko Hotel and that was one show i was really looking forward to.!

I got into my blue playsuit (which inspired a post about how to rock play and jumpsuits three ways) and pink shoes and got to Eko Hotel just a little after 10p.m- perfect timing. Olamide didn't get on until later but i was able to catch Adekunle Gold's performance. The screams when he began singing should confirm to Adekunle that he is indeed, one to watch next year. With three singles, he had us singing,  screaming and dancing along. Kudos on good use of the stage and audience engagement. My other favourites on the night include Reminisce (of course), Burna Boy and Falz the Bahd Guy.

Apart from artistes, we had some comedy courtesy Seyi Law, the hosts, Buchi and Basketmouth (and Toolz a little  later), and also the internet celebrity comedians like Chelsea Currency. It was amazing to see how well they were recognised based off their internet memes and skits only! Goes to show where entertainment is headed these days and how important social media is.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Olamide's performances, especially his costumes, the choreography,  and his hype man, Dotun. Big kudos to the team that thought and brought all that to the fore because we could have had one man and a dj but we really got a show.

My highlights
- The performances were really good on the average and everyone put some effort in. Be it what they wore, how they worked the stage or even a little magic (Que Peller).
- The experience. It just felt really good being at a sold out show in a packed hall. And incase you missed it, i caught a proposal that went right on in the hall via Tolu Odunsi's snapchat. Congrats to the happy  couple
- Being starstruck. I was just standing there randomly when Asisat Oshoala, the BBC Footballer of the Year walked by. I had to go find her and take a picture! It was a room full of stars though with various fields like media, music and movies well represented.

What i wanted
- So many artistes backstage had songs together, i wish we got them on the stage together. For example, Reminisce does one song, then Falz joins him for 'Clap', then Falz does his song etc.
- For it to never end...

#TBDaily x Harmattan Survival Pack- Tosyn Style!

Harmattan is here like the first day of the year!
lol.
It is though. The fog, the smell, the dry skin and more.

So how do i cope with harmattan?

- A lot of oil.
Dry skin and hair are a girl's worst enemy so i stay oiled up!

What Helps
- Orisade Body Butter with Shea Butter
- Baby Oil

- Staying hydrated
I drink it all. Water, Coffee, Tea. I have to admit i might take one or two things not recommended by the doctor as well but i find that staying well hydrated, especially with water, keeps you healthier and more active.

- Get out of the cold!
Some people claim you need to shower with cold water first thing in the morning Err... no thank you. I recommend warm water though not hot water because it makes it harder for your body to adjust to the cold. Also please wear natural warm clothing and have 'robb' handy!

Please Donate to SAVE Akuwa's life!!!

Hey guys,
I heard about a lady that needs our help so i thought to blog.

Akuwa Adejo attended Command Secondary School Ipaja Lagos and is in serious need of medical attention.

Akuwa has been sick for long time now, and was diagnosed with Umbilical Hernia and Liver Failure. She requires liver transplant as well as umbilical surgery to correct the swelling around her stomach. Her brother has agreed to donate (a part of) his liver, so she will be traveling with him as well as one more person who will look after the two of them after they have been operated on. ‎

The total amount for the expenses is US$55,000; this is inclusive of their accommodation as well as air tickets and travel arrangements. Her friends have been campaigning and raised $14,000+ on the GoFundMe site

‎On her last trip to India She was advised that she can't be cut opened twice for the two surgeries within very short breaks, the doctors advised it's better to have the two surgeries done at the same time.

‎ Akwua has till 15th January 2016 to get these surgeries done. As at the last time she went to India, the doctors told her that her liver is below 5% performance. Truth is, Akuwa has less than 1 month to perform the surgeries for the avoidance of irreversible damages.

Akuwa has also permitted us to share her pictures as well.

Please donate using  this link https://www.gofundme.com/m4c5qfa7 .The link is safe and protected. You can also transfer naira to her account.

#TBDaily x What I Am Loving at the Moment: Love you Pass, BMPro and more!

Hey friendlies,
Welcome to this edition of "What I Am Loving At The Moment".
Today i am loving some music, skincare and  beauty products and a tv show about little people!

SONG
While i have been bumping a lot of cool songs on the radio and  in the car, one song that has stood out for me is- "Love You Pass' from the 'Stories that Touch" album by Falz featuring Bez.

Falz has a nicely themed album and works with different artistes to achieve that. This is one of his tributes to love and the world of alternative Nigerian music so who else but Bez?

Dope hook so please check it out from the album available on itunes now!

SKINCARE
I found an Orisade flier when i went for Locitude's Loc Appreciation Day earlier this year and i had been meaning to get some of the products like their body butter and more. I finally got complimentary soap and body butter and i have to say the soap is amazing.
You know how you wash your face with mosturizing soaps and keep rinsing because your mind feels it is still soapy but it is just the mosturising effect?
That is how i feel about 'Orisade Avocado and Aloe Vera Soap'.

It also strips your face of the day's make up and dirt so more props for it. The body butter has that powerful shea butter smell so it is taking me some getting used to but it gives your skin a natural glow.
Orisade uses natural products for their skincare brand so more props for them.

MAKE UP
When i went for a make up trial recently with Banke Meshida Lawal of BMPro and while i waited, i browsed through some of their make up products.

After the trial, i asked for one of the lipsticks they used and powder and their lipstick is giving me life. It is the 'Matte  Velvet Lipstick' and is perfect for days you have to do your make up yourself but still want that pop!

You know me i am all about the pop!
I love the shade and how long it lasts.

TELEVISION SHOW
What do you get when you put a group of women together? Usually a lot of talk, some conflict, work and relationship ups and downs and more, and that is what Little Women LA brings in spades. Add to it that the cast of this show are largely, little people.

p.s, if you have been saying 'dwarfs' or 'midgets', you have been politically incorrect so please start saying 'little people'.

Back to my current favourite ladies on reality television!
These ladies are fun, feisty, and like the average woman, have their pow-wow days and their bleh moments, Add to that some health concerns and peculiarities and it makes for one hour of pure tv goodness!

If you don't watch it yet, please catch new episodes on Lifetime now!

#4pminLagos Kaffy, and Three other things to look forward to at Headies2015

Heyyyy!
Good news for US- Kaffy is set to co-host this year's Headies!

Why is that good news? Well, think about it. How can Kaffy, Naija's dance queen, host an awards show without giving us some dope choreography in that telented way we have come to see her delivr
Bring on the shoki, the nae nae, the bobo and maybe even some throwbacks like the 'open and close' and of course, galala.
Whatever it is, bring it on Kaffy!

Dance icon Kaffy and standup comedian Bovi have been chosen to host the 2015 edition of Nigeria’s most prestigious annual music awards show, The Headies, holding on December 30 at the Landmark Events Centre, Lagos.

Following in the tradition of celebrity hosts at the yearly extravaganza which began in 2006 with Dare Art Alade, the duo are expected to bring the best of their worlds together for a special audience treat at the awards ceremony which has the theme “Flip The Script” this year.

They become the eighth celebrity host couple at the awards event after Tope Adelana and D’banj in 2007, Dakore Egbuson and Basketmouth in 2008, Kemi Adetiba and Banky W in 2009, Rita Dominic and eLDee in 2011, MI Abaga and Omawumi in 2012, Dr. Sid and Tiwa Savage in 2013, and Toke Makinwa and Basketmouth in 2014.

Three other things to look forward to?
- The winners of course! I am rooting for Bez, Yemi Alade, Olamide, Cynthia Morgan, Reminisce, Aramide, Reekado Banks and more!

- The rants, It is not a Headies Awards show without at least a thousand and one rants, which ironically, helps the event trend and become even more iconic. The first trend will be for if it starts on time. Hee Hee Hee.

- The fashion!
The Headies is always a great place for hits and the ocassional misses, plus fashion statements by the bold. This year, i am looking forward to some mind blowing dresses, dope pant suits and those who dare to push the envelope!
