#REVIEW Casper and Gambinis' delivery service is my best experience so far!

Do you have a favourite place to order take aways from?

Sometimes i feel like ordering food is a 'my order is in Your Hands o Lord' type of gamble in Lagos because these are some of the experiences i have had (and don't like).
- Ordering at 2pm. Then at 4pm being told what i ordered was not available.
- Ordering from a restaurant i had eaten at before, only to find out their delivery food somehow lost taste and presentation in transit
- Getting my food (and the big bill), but no cutlery...

This is why, first time i ordered from Caspers & Gambini , i kept saying, "o my i should have done this sooner".

What i look for in a good delivery is
- the ease of ordering ( i ordered via HelloFood)
- politeness and punctuality
- well packaged meals
- food that looks AND tastes good

That is where Casper & Gambini shines.

My chicken wings and salad arrived in SEPARATE branded packaging. The order came with utensils, salt and napkins.

How did the food taste?
It was delicious! It was so delicious that i finished the salad at one sitting, and once i tasted one chicken wing, there was no saving anything for later.

I am going to order from them again for sure. By the way, while researching them, i saw that SisiYemmie had eaten at the restaurant twice before and she had done a  review

#TVBuzz 'Our Best Friend's Wedding is feel good tv... and i love it!

Last night i could not sleep so instead of watching television like i normally do, i decided to follow the link to 'Our Best Friend's Wedding' which airs on Red Tv online.

A guy, Charles, fears that his mother has cancer and because all she wants from him is a grandchild, he decides he needs to get married. He then calls on his two female best friends (played by Oreka Godis and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi) to help him find the one.

I went for the premiere of the new series and watched the first two episodes but i stopped watching. Not because it was a bad series, but because i wanted to binge watch it instead. That wait a week thing would not have been great for my heart jare.

So i finally got to watch the full season and i really like the show. Caveat- most of the people involved with this series are my friends. Gbemi? Friend. Oreka? Friend. Illrymz? Friend. Tula? Friend. Lydia? Friend. B... You see where i am going with this right?

See, when you watch or listen to something your family or friends have done (like my cousin's cover of 'O Holy Night' and this one), you are very afraid. What. If. It. Sucks. And. I. Absolutely. Hate. It. But. I. Cannot. Tell. Them. Because. That. Would. Ruin. Our...

I would go on but typing like that gets tedious.

Boy am i glad it did not suck!

Phew! Relief!

So let's try this from the good, and could be better because there was no bad nor ugly.

The 'Could Be Betters'? The acting by one or two of the supporting cast. 

Then, I saw some people in the comments mention that it was predictable. Truth is, once you have girls and guys together, someone is going to, as we say, 'catch feelings'; whether those feelings were always there or developed over time so of course we knew that! Right?

So now, the writers just have to try really really hard to take a detour we could never have guessed. 

And the good?

See they had me at car running over Illrymz in Episode 1. Lol.

I also live for Oreka's style! Like! I am about to watch that show again just to note everything she wore and wear it too.

I loved Gbemi's scenes because that's Gbemi. See when she was holding Oreka's phone and Oreka was trying to jump to get it from her? GBEMI DOES THAT TO ME!!! That's how she teases, that is how she talks. Some roles you are born to play.

And of course, there is the music. 

They just went ahead and got all the great songs by Nigerian artistes that are not necessarily popular but fit the scenes and mood perfectly. Something 'Before 30' did as well by the way.

I really like this show and i think it has so much potential that i really really pray it gets picked up for a second season. Plus, i am with the people asking for it to be turned into a movie. 

Wait.

Remember when i said there was no bad. No o. There were two bad things. Very bad. Infact, terrible!

#TBReview et #Giveaway Mara Cruiz Organic Haircare

A few weeks ago, I got some hair products from Mara Cruiz Organics. We even did a giveaway and there's another to come today!

I wanted to however do a quick show and tell of each product in the package I got (and will be giving out).

I have left my hair as is for quite a bit now and love using products best for it. My usual routine is for busy days, some hair cream and brushing the edges. When I have a little more time, I mosturise more thoroughly.
At the weekends, I tend to shampoo (not every weekend as you should never wash your hair more than it needs), condition, cream and mosturise.

Here is where Mara Cruiz comes in handy. The range of products is so varied that there is something for every time frame. Five minutes? Use the hair cream. Bit of time? Use the hair mayonnaise (or growth oil) and hair cream. And of course on a 'spoil your hair day', use them all.

The products come in mainly see-through clear plastic bottles (apart from the cream and mayonnaise). I'd have preferred neater packaging with a different font and branding to make it more attractive.

Mosturising Natural Shampoo
This has a really good smell, probably because of the black soap, and I love it. It also contains olive oil which is a plus for me.

Nourishing Rinse-Out Conditioner
Easy to apply and contains coconut oil (another plus!).

Mosturizing Leave-In Conditioner
Another one that is easy to apply and as suggests, quicker to use since it is leave in.

Hair Mayonnaise
I haven't really used this one, first because I tend to forget, and secondly because having to leave in for twenty minutes before rinsing out needs more scheduling than I can handle.
It will however be great for those of you with really tough hair.

Hair Growth Stimulator Oil
This is my favourite. First because oils are generally my favourite, be they for hair or body, but also because anything that stimulates growth gets a pass!

It can be sprayed unto your hand or directly into the hair which also makes it convenient and easy to apply, and is infused with loads of great herbs like Rosemary and Sage. Lastly, it's easy to carry which means it will be easy to pack!

Mosturising Hair Cream
Thick and easy to apply, it may however be too powerful for some noses.

In conclusion, the Mara Cruiz Organics range is broad and therefore provides something for everyone and every schedule. My favourite is still the oil but I would recommend each item for different needs.

TBuzz Review: Mara Cruiz organic hair products

For the last few weeks I have been giving my hair a treat.

 I stumbled on Amara of Mara Cruiz organics during the #ServiceSwap that trended on twitter. (Read about that here Service Swap   ).

She met up with me to personally hand over some of their products (for kids and adults) and that gave me the opportunity to find out a little about why she started this journey.

According to her, it started as a way of helping her child find something that would not irritate her scalp. Since then, she has actually taken courses and continues to develop the brand which turned one last month.

I got the
- Shampoo
- Rinse Out conditioner
- Leave-In conditioner
- Hairgrowth stimulator oil
- Hair Mayonnaise
- Hair cream

and have now been able to use all of them at different times.

On the whole, products with natural components score highly with me. It usually means they have all of the goodness without the chemicals that could damage hair. I especially liked the shampoo because of its smell (black soap) and the rinse out conditioner as well.

The products are easy to apply with instructions clearly written on the bottles / jars.
