Tosyn's Guide to enjoying the 2016 Olympics

The 2016 Rio Olympics are upon us but it really does feel more like doom and gloom right? From the Rio Village being criticised, to the Nigerian tournament being treated shabbily but for those of us who crave our dose of Olympics, here is my quick guide to enjoying the Olympics!

OPENING CEREMONY

This is a must watch. If you do not watch the opening ceremony, you have missed out on a huge slice. This year's opening ceremony is set to be great (Amen!). Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and more will be a part of the program.

BEST SPORTS TO WATCH

We all have our preferences, but i am pretty sure football is first on this list, seeing that Nigeria is participating this year. So after football, what other sports are best?

I love the 'throws'- javelin, shortput etc, and the 'jumps'- long and high jump. Swimming is also interesting, and of course, what would we do without our races and gymnastics?

ATHLETES TO WATCH OUT FOR

So as always this year's Olympics is star-studded. Neymar of Brazil, Mikel of Nigeria, Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Djokovic for tennis lovers, Blessing Okagbare for track and field, Nigeria's Segun Toriola for table tennis too.

Rio is set to blaze with stars.

There you have it, my quick guide to enjoying the Olympics. And of course, don't forget to renew your subscription. Also shout out to Facebook and Google; Facebook Live will show the games and Facebook lets you change your profile picture while Google has this amazing tab open for those who want to keep up with the Olympics on mobile, complete with schedules, medal table, fixtures, etc.

Let's go Rio 2016!

Wednesday

What is in my bag?!

This post is so random though but ever had to show the content of your bag in public?

Months ago, the crew of Star Gist on Africa Magic came rummaging through my bag. Thankfully i knew they would be coming so i took out all incriminating stuff ahead. Lol.

But on the average, what are the top ten things you can find in my bag on any given day?
1. Something to write in.
2. Something to write with.
3. Baby wipes
4. Hand sanitiser.
5. Hand lotion.
6. Lip balm
7. Powder.
8. Wallet
9. Those complimentary sized perfume bottles
10. Robb or Vaseline or Tissue
Lol.

Your turn!
Tell me ten things in your bag!!!

#TravelThursday 5 best Beaches around the world

Ever wondered why you love beaches?

Scientists claim it is because we spent a lot of our time by the water while evolving. "Eez daaaat?".

I think we love the peace, the calm, the "I'm not driving in traffic cussing anyone out" emotions. Lol.

Beaches are great places for fun and introspection too. Now, finally, on to that list:

1. Lopes Mendes, Ilha Grande, Brazil

We may be more interested in Brazil now because of the Olympics but Brazil boasts one of the best beaches in the world.

Lopes Mendes is two miles of unspoiled, deserted, powder-white sand that leads to some of the world’s clearest waters. And o, noone sets up beach shacks or restuarants here so it really is just you and nature.

2. Bora Bora Islands, Tahiti

The Island of Bora Bora is just a little under a one hour flight from the island of Tahiti or Moorea. The lagoon is so beautiful you would think an artist painted it! I can't wait to be there!

3. Seychelles beaches

Yay!
Finally!
The only one of these five beaches i have been to o.

Anse Source d'Agent which is across the island of La Digue, is one of the most photographed beaches in the world.

4. The Hamptons, New York

Well! Turns out that contrary to what we see on E!, the Hamptons are not just nightlife and rich kids.
They are also peaceful beautiful beaches and rich kids!

5. Barnes Bay, Anguilla

There are 33 pristine beaches on pancake-flat Anguilla, but Barnes Bay seems to have the softest sand imagineable (no rocks or shells) and far fewer crowds than say Sandy Ground or Shoal Bay East. It is located in the Leeward chain of islands, east of Puerto Rico.

I am aiming to visit all the ones on this list and a few more but which beach would you love to visit?

#SkincareSaturday Three things to do for your skin this weekend!

Ideally, we should pamper ourselves every day.  Unfortunately, with the hustle and bustle that is Lagos, we usually end up with at best, ...
